Girlfriend jeans with a slightly slouchy fit, tapered leg and distressed detail at front. Non-elastic waistband with button/zip fly. 2 front pockets and 2 back pockets. Diagonal seaming on lower half of leg.
First of all I have to say, I was hesitant to buy distressed jeans because I of my age (late forties). However, I saw an older friend (sixties) wearing them and thought they were adorable so I made my purchase. I loved these jeans! They were cute my four kids, late teens/early twenties compliments them. They fit well and are super cute. The problem is they had some backing behind the distressed parts to stabilize the fabric and keep them from ripping further. This did not hold up, and I can no longer wear these jeans without looking a bit obscene. I washed with care and was very careful...I don't know what else I could have done, besides not wash them. If you are looking to only wear something for a few months, then these are the jeans for you. They are comfortable, cute, received many compliments, but unfortunately did not hold up the way I would have liked.
Though the jeans clearly state "Taper" in the description, they overall run very small. A "Boyfriend" cut jean implies a looser fit, but these all around were small and tight...could not even get them on past calves. I have their other Boyfriend jeans and they were very loose (in my size) . That made me want to try to tapered version, as my issue with their other standard Distressed Boyfriend jean is that the leg opening is too wide. With this version they "Tapered" the leg and it seams like the whole jean. If you order these get 1 - 2 sizes up from what you wear (depending on your leg proportion). Fabric/Denim looks true to picture, but handfeel is a little rough, so may have to wash these with softner
