I bought it in the Ruby Red Sweater print. Very cute! Lounger is very soft and comfortable. Side seam pockets, round neck, no buttons or snaps. I am short (5 feet 3.5 inches), and it is almost floor length. It is something I would definitely buy again.
I read the reviews about running small and ordered large when I usually order medium. Should have stayed with medium, it was huge. Even if it shrinks, would still be too big. It really looks like a sack. Also there is a terrible chemical on the fabric, I am sure it would wash out after a few washings, but made my arms itch to try on. I would have kept it for myself, as it seemed like it would be eventually be comfortable, but my husband didn't like it at all. Normally he never says anything bad about my clothes, but he did not like this! So back it goes.
When I think of a "Lounger", I envision a very comfy garment that doesn't look like a nightgown or jammies. This pretty pink/lavender snowflake print on white looks like a nightgown, but I like it anyway and use it that way. As described, it is a very soft and study flannel with comfy knit wrist bands at the end of the sleeves (older reviews complained that these were too tight; it appears this problem is fixed.) I've washed per their directions (cold/hang to dry) and it has shrunk very little. I expect significant shrinkage when it inevitably gets an accidental trip through the drier. This is a consistent issue with items purchased through JL and its sister companies. Their manufacturers do not pre-wash and dry their fabrics before cutting as, say, Land's End and LL Bean do, or anyone who sews knows to do and pure cotton shrinks under those circumstances. I hate synthetic fabrics - they don't breathe and I get hot in them. This is a luscious all-cotton flannel. I'm 5'11.5", 275 lbs and ordered the size 26/28 (2x). It hangs just below mid-calf on me, not to the floor and the sleeve length is fine now, but will become shorter with shrinkage, something one with long arms and legs in cotton fabrics expects. I'll order it again when this wears out.
This flannel lounger is very warm. The flannel is thick material and I can only wear when it is very cold. I is very cozy and comfortable just to lounge in. I cannot wear to sleep in because I get too hot.
Size?? I order one full size up because I know how flannel behaves in the wash -- IT SHRINKS -- all flannel shrinks. I washed it on the hottest cycle possible to get maximum shrinkage first time around -- with 1/2 cup fabric softner. Second wash I added about 1/2 cup of fabric softener to give it that soft flannel feel. The fabric is a heavier flannel and the red dye did stain the dryer drum a tiny bit but it does not rub off on the other clothes so I'm OK with that. I purchased TWO of these because good flannel is hard to find. You will need to wash this in HOT HOT water to get the sizing out and put mega amounts of fabric softener in the first and second wash -- hot dryer. If you do not want it to shrink -- cold water wash but -- then your gown/lounger will not be super soft.
This gown shrinks in the washer/dryer, but that was good because it was too long and a bit large. I ordered a medium, which is my regular size. I don't think it is in other prints/colors. If it was, I would order more!
Cozy and comfy! Shrinks when washed so buy 1 size larger.
I love the stretchy sleeve cuff, because I can push the sleeves out of the way if needed. I also like there is no lacey stuff on it. All comfortable flannel. The body area doesn't shrink inward, just in length and a bit in the shoulder area, which is why I suggest a bigger size for the broader, bustier folks.
I had knee replacement surgery and was looking for something to wear during my home health vists that would be comfortable and modest without putting pressure I the inscision during exercises. This was perfect!
I stay in bed a good majority of the time as I have health problems. I look for things to sleep in often, and this is so warm and my very favorite! I wish it came in other patterns I like, if they make the same lounger next year I hope there are more patterns.
These items do seem to run a little large, so instead of ordering an XL, I ordered a Large. When I took it out of the package and tried it on, it was too big. But when I washed it in hot water and dried it, it shrank to the perfect size.
